68 Yee Wo Street is a 227,118 square feet, 23-storey commercial building in Causeway Bay.
Schroder Pamfleet’s strategy was to reverse the falling occupancy by lobbying government for a pedestrian crossing at the junction of Pennington Street and Yee Wo Street, to increase pedestrian flow to the building (which was approved by the District Council in July 2007) and to find a specialist anchor tenant which would occupy the majority of the retail podium in an open style retail concept to improve lettable area and efficiency. The total renovation cost was US$3.9 million.
The property’s rental rates were increased by 68%.
