KCP is a neighbourhood multi-level suburban shopping centre comprising seven floors of retail space and approximately 500 parking spaces, with total gross floor area of 639,930 square feet.
Schroder Pamfleet’s objective was to maximise the rental from KCP by modernising the centre and incorporating a new tenant mix. This was based on a combination of the results of a consumer and economic research project as well as input and feedback from local retail industry participants.
New tenants were indentified and the centre was branded, promoted and leased up in accordance with the business plan. The total renovation cost was US$12.8 million. Rental rates for KCP were increased by 43%.
