Edward is a 7,123 square foot secondary retail strip on ground floor and basement along Nathan Road in Prince Edward, Kowloon.
The asset was acquired through tender from Deloitte acting as a receiver for Bank of China. This was distressed street-front retail at a significantly discounted value in a submarket that is expected to see rental increase due to the construction of a new MTR entrance in early 2015.
Schroder Pamfleet’s strategy was to reinstate the vacant shops and basement, improve marketing signage and implement a proactive leasing programme.
